Turbulence Training Meets the 300 Movie Workout
Craig Ballantyne, the author of the groundbreaking fitness book Turbulence Training, did a quick summary of the "300 Movie Workout".
Craig Ballantyne is a writer for Men's Health Magazine and really knows his stuff when it comes to torching body fat. His book, Turbulence Training, is one of the few fitness books worth buying on the Internet. It is actually filled with cutting edge advice and "original thought"…not just re-hashed stuff that everybody already knows.
Here is a Trailer to "300"…the Movie Which Inspired this Workout
The 300 workout is based around the concept of doing 300 reps with seriously hard compound exercises…with zero rest in between each exercise! Here is a quick outline of the workout…
a) Pullups – 25 reps
b) Deadlifts with 135lbs – 50 reps
c) Pushups – 50 reps
d) 24-inch Box jumps – 50 reps
e) Floor wipers – 50 reps
f) 1-arm Clean & Press with 36lbs Kettlebell – 50 reps
g) Pullups – 25 reps
Craig goes into much greater detail of the 300 movie workout on the Men's Health blog. It is definitely worth your time.

Note: This is only suppose to be done once every few weeks, not on a regular basis.
Workout like a Spartan!

Rusty – Did this workout a month ago and it took me 25:56 to get though and I was exhausted. Since I've been doing Crossfit workouts consistently since, I tried again two days ago, same workout, and completed it in 13:11! Basically Crossfit seems like Craig Ballantyne's interval style workouts, only with weights and olympic style lifts. Either way, my strength has shot through the roof and besy thing is because my calories have stayed low throughout, my weight is about the same, but my muscles are definitely more dense. You should try out a couple of their workouts, they're definitely intense!
