Hoodia Gordonii Appetite Suppressant And It's Origins
Hey Guys…I was researching Hoodia Gordonii tonight, just to see what all the hype is about and came across a really good article. I am just going to cut and paste the article here, since this gentleman does a great job of explaining Hoodia. Now I finally know how this supplement works! I'm not a huge believer in many supplements, but this one looks pretty darn good.
(I underlined and bolded the important points if you are in a hurry, but I suggest reading the whole article, since it is short)
Here is the article…
The Origin of the Hoodia Gordonii Appetite Suppressant
by James Comer
The popular natural appetite suppressant Hoodia Gordonii has been getting a lot of exposure lately on 60 Minutes, the BBC, and the Today Show. My article is going to explain the origin of the famed Hoodia Gordonii plant. I'll touch on the process of how the supplement works and how you can locate the strongest Hoodia Gordonii appetite suppresant that works.
Hoodia Gordonii And The History Of This Natural Appetite Suppressant
The potent appetite suppressing properites that the Hoodia cactus plant possesses have been known by the Kalahari desert bushmen for centuries. In the middle 90's the CSIR (Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) conducted a comprehensive look at the numerous native plants and foods consumed by the "Sans Bushmen".
What the CSIR soon discovered was that the Hoodia cactus plant is not only non-toxic but it also contains some incredibly powerful properties to suppress the appetite and speed up weight loss. This detailed research was found by following up on watching how animals reacted when regularly consuming the Hoodia cactus plant.
The Popularity of Hoodia Gordonii Natural Appetite Suppressants
Following on from the wide-spread claims of fast weight loss numerous Hoodia Gordonii appetite suppressant supplements have climbed up in the marketplace to become one of the fastest selling and fasting growing weight loss supplements in a marketplace where billions of dollars are spent every year on diet products.
Before you decide on which Hoodia Gordonii appetite suppressant you want to use to help with your weightloss, it's very important to know more about the Hoodia cactus plant. When the CSIR had been able to isloate the active ingredient that was causing the appetite to be suppressed and speeding up the burning of fat- they decided to call it P-57. The CSIR then contracted contracted the rights to Phytopharm- a British Phamaceutical organization.
With Phytopharm Being The Only Organization Holding The Rights Why Are There So Many Other Hoodia Appetite Suppressants On The Market?
It's very amazing that there are quite a large number of Hoodia supplement products available. Even though phytopharm actually does hold the rights to P-57 there are some patent laws that are in play here. The truth is only the Phytopharm company has the legal ability to extract the molecules in the hoodia cactus that are responsible for the appetite suppressing characteristics and use it in any or all of their products.
That being the case, no one can ever patent the Hoodia Gordonii plant as a whole. Other companies do have the right legally to make their own concoction of the Hoodia Gordonii appetite suppressant, as well as other hoodia products completely legal- even though they don't posess a license to extract P57.
Now that there are such a wide range of Hoodia products available which are made from the Hoodia plant, it's crucial that customers don't fall into the trap and buy inexpensive, ineffective, limitations and also that they make sure that they only purchase Pure South African cactus Hoodia Gordonii Products for the best results.

Mark,
I just did research on this and it sounds like an herbal form of the ECA stack (Ephederine, Caffeine, Aspirin). It is effective, but causes insomnia and the jitters…I did the ECA stack in the early 90's.
You can get just as lean without it…and probably healthier to avoid it if possible.

Mark,
I drink Green Tea and it works well. It isn't an advanced formula or anything new, but it works for me. The healthiest looking guy I have ever seen was a Vietnamese gentleman who worked for me at a high-end furniture store I used to manage. I believe he was 55 years old and looked 28 (no kidding). He ate nothing during the day and just sipped on Green Tea all day long. I still remember his name "Hung Le"…he is actually one of the reasons I decided that maybe eating every few hours isn't the best approach.
Hope that helps,
Rusty

Very interesting post Rusty,
This hunger suppressant sounds really cool especially since its natural. But I don't think i would like it if I take it ( i'm on warrior diet).I want to feel the hunger pangs, feels like you're accomplishing something. Kinda like the burn you feel after hard cardio. As you have put it 'embrace hunger'.
Have you thought of doing a post on swimming… you know, its benefits…?

Sai,
Swimming is a great low impact healthy thing to do…it just won't get you as lean as running. Go to Google and type in "swimming body fat"…or something along those lines. You will find articles explaining why swimming isn't the best way to get lean.
