Losing Body Fat Makes Your Face Much More Attractive and Sexy

People rarely talk about losing fat around the face. When you are overweight, you lose a lot of what makes your face look unique. Body fat, blurs the jawline and cheekbones. Fat also makes your face blend in with your pudgy neck. A large reason that supermodels have to be lean for photo shoots is that a low body fat enhances their face as well.

[After all the butt shots of women, I figured I owed the girls a picture of a good looking guy]

Your Face Reveals if You Are In Good Shape

I can easily tell if someone is at a low body fat level by looking at their face. It is funny…a lot of people are fooled by guys with lean arms and legs. If that guy has a chubby face or a blurred jawline, I guarantee you that he does not have toned abs. The face is a dead give away about someone's conditioning. It is impossible to be in great shape and have a fat face. As you get lean, your face takes on a nicer appearance as well.

A Pudgy Face Isn't a "Handsome" Face

Women really enjoy a strong jawline and chin…that square jawed "GQ" look. Models like Tyson and Antonio Sabato Jr. have this look. So do Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and all the other Hollywood sex symbols. A sharp angular face create a masculine look that is different than a woman's softer features.

Jared Leto is an Example of This

Jared Leto gained 60 pounds for his role in the movie Chapter 27

jared leto gains 60 pounds for movie
[Here is a picture of him with Lindsay Lohan. Pretty crazy how he looks like a completely different person!]

In case you forget what he normally looks like…
Jared Leto 30 seconds to Mars
[Pretty big difference!]

Women dig this guy because he has his own hip style going on. Jared pulls it off because he isn't a big bulky guy. He would look pretty dumb if he slapped on 30 pounds of muscle! He wouldn't be able to pull off this funky look if he had a bodybuilder build. I guarantee you that 95 out of 100 young women would rather date this guy than the current Mr. Olympia. If you gave women a choice over the model in the Armani Exchange picture above vs. any competitive bodybuilder…the results could be even more dramatic. Sorry for going off topic, but I'm just trying to explain once again that it is better to just have a natural amount of muscle with exceptional tone vs. gaining as much muscle as possible.

Women's Faces Look Better at a Lower Body Fat As Well

I am not for women going overboard and getting way too lean. It normally isn't an issue, but women who do those fitness competitions look a little too lean in my opinion and their face takes on an angular appearance. This isn't a great look. Think more along the lines of healthy levels of body fat like Jessica Biel or Megan Fox. Those women are fit, but still have soft feminine features. Guys love that look for sure!

Charlize Theron's Transformation in Monster

Charlize put on 30 pounds for her role in Monster

[She looks terrible there! Who would know that hiding under all that flab is a stunning woman.]

What a difference 30 pounds can make. Look at her now!
charlize theron loses weight
[See how her neck and jawline are much more defined. She also has defined but still soft looking cheekbones. She looks much better at this lighter weight!]

If You Have 30+ Pounds to Lose I Have Good News For You

You have a much more attractive face hidden under that excess body fat. When you lose all that weight, not only will you have a nicer looking body, you will have a sexier face as well. Seriously…look at Charlize Theron and Jared Leto again…these two people look dramatically different. To be honest, even if you only have 10 pounds of fat to lose, your face will improve. People will recognize that you look better, they just won't be able to put their finger on what is different about you.

Staying Lean is Insurance Against Getting a Double Chin

Want to make sure that you don't get that dreaded double chin? Stay lean your entire life! Gravity can't pull down fat on your face, when that fat doesn't exist. You can look young for a long period of time, if you don't let your face get fat. Want to keep that youthful appearance you had in your wedding picture or back in college or high school? Stay lean year round, year after year.

A Leaner Face Makes For a Better "Look"

I live in a downtown area where a lot of the guys and girls dress in the newest fashions and drive expensive cars, etc. What is funny is that a percentage of these guy are girls look great in these hip European and Hollywood fashions, while others look a little "off". The difference between these two groups is that those who are lean look "congruent" with the clothes they are wearing. When a guy with a pudgy face tries to get the spiky or messy hair look…it kind of looks funny. Same with the bald guys…the guys who shave their head and have a pudgy face kind of have a "potato head" look. The lean guys with the same hair style look cool.

Summary: So getting lean isn't just about looking better naked (which in my opinion is reason enough to get lean). Getting lean will make your face more kissable as well!

This is sooooo true! When I was 12 I was a little bit chubby, and I know that I have grown up since then (hopefully!), but it is crazy when I compare what I looked like then, when I was probably 20 pounds overweight to now, when I am at an ideal weight.

I have actually had guys that made fun of me when I was a chubby kid check me out at bars and if they finally get the nerve to come over and try to pick me up, it is funny messing with them because they think I'm hot now and they don't believe me when I tell them I was the kid they picked on. I must say I would much rather be a hot adult than a cute kid because we are adults for a much longer time!

One thing I forgot to mention, when a woman's face is leaner, her lips look more plump (usually a good thing), and her eyes look bigger. You can kind of see this in the Charlize Theron pics.
Overweight people usually look like they are squinting (as if the sun is in their eyes). Have a good weekend!

Once again Rusty you talk about something that everyone forgets, when i made the mistake of bulking up once, my face changed, and my neck too, i didn't like it all the way i was looking, it didn't seem me, when i lost that extra fat, i've felt much better looking at my face like it was before. It's very important to have a lean face, and muscle only in the right places, and in the right proportions, i can't understand those guys who overdevelop traps and neck, it ruins any look. Very good post like always.

Rusty,
Yeah I always thought I just had a round face with big cheeks. And hey, maybe relatively I still do, but it's amazing what 20 or so pounds can do to remedy that. Just like your post on abs from a while back, it's worth noting that the extra skin will take some time to shrink, but once it does you're golden.

Rusty, great post, but I have a question. Does this apply to everyone? It seems like double chins run in my family, but maybe the only thing in my genes is a lack of exercise, I don't know.

I just want to back up what you've said here, because last year when I started working out, within about two 1/2 months (I didn't hit the gym everyday, it was more like twice a week, so it was slow) I had three different people start commenting on my face and telling me to eat more! Haha! I couldn't understand what they were talking about, but then I realized it was because I was working out and losing fat on my face (rather than my stomach, which disappointed me but oh well).

Nice one Rusty,

I particularily like your comment about how us lean guys look way better with a shaved head than a pudgy faced guy does!

I've noticed a lot of people have commented on how my shaven head suits me and that I must have a 'nice' shaped head. They can't quite put their finger on the real reason i look good is the leanness!

Rusty,

Great post. I wish I had found this site earlier. Last year I was trying to "bulk up" and I went from about 160 to 175 lbs in three months. Unfortunately a lot of that weight was fat but at the time I delusionally thought it was mostly muscle. Anyway some girls I knew said my face was looking "bloated". I looked in the mirror and they were right! It was so gradual that I hadn't noticed it. My face had lost that angular and sharp appearance. I was at 17% body fat. Since then I've dropped back down to 160 by adding cardio to my work outs and yesterday my body fat was 8%, and actually have more muscle mass then I did when I was at 175lbs. My face is back to being lean. I hadn't realized how much ten lbs of fat or so could affect your face.

So anyway, you're right on with this post! Keep the good info coming!

Hey Rusty! It was funny I was just going to post a question regarding trying to lose those chubby cheeks. . i have in the past couple of years gained a few pounds and it is showing on my face. . . id like to blame it on baby fat. . .but in the end i know what i need to do. . .more cardio! I was just wondering is there any specific exercise to target chubby cheeks or just any form of cardio? And would you suggest any specific diet/exercise to get a more defined face. i wanted to lose 15 to 20 pounds in 6 weeks . . any suggestions for me? Thank you! Great post!

Hey Rusty!
Great article about what losing fat can do for you!
Now for me it come to this, a few weeks ago I started my hard training again with a strict diet. I do strenght training for 1 hour including abs and then 30 minutes of cardio.
Should I take Proteins, immediatly after my weight training or after my cardio?
Also my bodyfat is right now at 11.5% I want to go down to about 9% so I have more definition.
What I notice is that most of my body fat is on my legs, now since I was young i do ride bycicle so my legs or pretty big but there is also some fat on it, how do i get ride of this? just do hard cardio?
The rest of the fat is on the abs but a bit less then on my legs I guess…
Hopefully you have some good answers and keep up with this wonderfull Blog.

P.S. not living in St Maarten anymore, back in The Netherlands
and it's cold!!!

Jennifer,

I have my 20 year high school reunion coming up. I have a feeling the best looking people will be the ones who looked average in high school. That is a great comment about plumper lips and bigger eyes. Charlize's picture is a great example of this. Good call.

Helder,

The overdeveloped traps and neck is a terrible look. These guys look very odd in suits and other types of clothing.

Burak,

Your face will get more defined and squared off the longer you stay at a lower body fat level. Just like you said, it works exactly like the abs.

Iso,

I didn't accept my family genes. The majority of the people in my family are skinny until 30 and then gain 5-10 pounds every year until they are about 50-60 pounds overweight. By the time they are my age they are very overweight. I was told this was inevitable. Don't believe it…you don't have to get a double chin!

Jon,

People tell me to eat more all the time. The majority of the people in our society are very unhealthy and overweight. I look at what they are doing and do the opposite for the most part.

Hulbs,

A big motivator for me to stay lean is because I have a shaved head. It is okay to be bald if you take care of yourself and look lean and your face looks great. It isn't a good look at all if you are overweight and bald. I have dated girls before that said in the past they weren't attracted to bald guys, but they said they were attracted to me. You have a great look going because you are lean. Great point.

Christopher,

So many people make the mistake of putting on 20-30 pounds in a short period of time believing it is mostly muscle. It is always mixed with a large percentage of fat and ruins the appearance of their face just like you said. Glad to hear you are back to a low body fat level. Good job!

Yavor,

All the girls I hang with clown on the chubby bald headed guys and call them potato heads.

Tashi,

Nothing will directly target that face fat, just hit cardio hard. When you feel like backing down push hard. You will lose that "baby fat" :)

J.L.

Don't drink protein shakes right after your workout until you get to your desired body fat level. That is when you will want to begin drinking those. Just like my comment to Tashi, nothing will target that fat except hardcore cardio. What is great is that it will make you extra lean everywhere else. We all have a spot on our body where the fat hangs onto. I bet you had a blast in St. Maarten…that had to be an amazing experience…I'm completely jealous!

Thanks for the comments!

Fantastic post, very motivational as usual, Rusty. Just yesterday someone I hadn't seen in a while asked if I'd lost weight because my face looked thin. They told me a looked like a model (which made me laugh), but it's very true that as you lose weight your face changes….which can also change your whole demeanor. And like someone said in the comments, your eyes begin to take prominence, which is very sexy.

Christine said:

Hey Rusty,
I love your posts! It is so funny you talk about our faces changing – after i went back to school after having my baby (i gained 60 pounds during preg! yuk!), everyone commented on how much my face changed! I was like thanks – so i got ugly!
Oh, and I need to stop checking out diet books at Borders when i'm there, b/c i have to read one more book tell me to eat 6 times a day, i'm going to go nuts. I started second guessing following the Warrior Diet b/c all these books were saying to eat 5-6 times a day or else your body will go into starvation mode. By the way, do you have a success stories area? Like where your readers can posts their success stories and what worked best for them? i'm looking forward to your ebook! You've helped me lost the last 10 pounds of my baby weight. I have about 10 more pounds to go, just to take it to the next level, but i'm no longer overweight! Yay!

Tesa,

I love it that you noticed that your face looks better. It is a huge reason to get in great shape.

Star,

The most important reason to lose weight is to feel great about yourself. I have been called "shallow" for focusing so much on looks…but people who feel sexy are generally happier people. Certainly looks aren't everything, but feeling attractive is an important part of higher self esteem.

Christine,

I have a lot of respect for mothers. You have one of the toughest and most important jobs on the planet. There is nothing I like better than helping women lose baby weight. You put on this weight as a selfless act to bring a healthy child into the world…I love it when I hear women getting back to pre-baby weight. As far as eating 6 times per day. You don't have to go to the extreme of just eating one meal. Why don't you start with 3 meals?

Lorna,

I think Nicole Richie looks great as well. There was a short period of time where she lost a little bit too much weight, but she looks wonderful now.

shane,

I have had a receding hairline since the age of 20. I shaved my hair off at the age of 33. I wish I would have done it much sooner. Obviously women are attracted to guys with a great head of hair, but if you are thinning..the best thing to do is shave it off.

Here is a post I wrote on that subject:

Going Bald or Have a Receding Hairline? You Need to Buzz it Off!

Great comments everyone!

Well I'm female and I hate having a lean face. I don't want a fat face, but I do want a full face as I feel having a lean face just makes me look older and at 26 I do NOT want to look older. Also my face is leaner than my body so you would have no idea of my body at % just by looking at my face. My body fat percentage is like 20%-24%, if I got down to under 20% I guarantee my face would look gaunt. NOT a good look.

nice post, since i did my cardio blitz back in Jan i've had several comments about my lean face…and i was in decent shape as it was…but people really do notice the small differences and it really does make a huge difference to lose that extra little body fat. With regards to guys balding, i think for some it's a much bigger deal than just shaving it off, for me it's a huge nightmare and i've gone through stages of low confidence due to it and this is coming from an athlete and pretty confident guy and i know lots of readers are in the same boat. I agree that it's better to shave it but for some of us it's just not a great look…but neither is the thinning look either. So i'll be shaving it sometime soon which scares me sh*tless!!

Ron said:

You mean my face can look MORE attractive and sexy? Wow.

:-D

admin said:

Dee,

There are exceptions to every rule. Very few people have a thin face when they are overweight.

Thomas,

Do a 20 minute jog, followed by 20 of HIIT, and then walk for 20. If you have the option…do a different piece of cardio equipment like an exercise bike or stair stepper for that last 20.

Jake,

I wouldn't quit lifting…just do WAY less volume for a while and don't lift as often. Hit cardio harder than ever. I was only lifting 2-3 times a week and was doing cardio 5 times per week when I "muscled down". Keep the reps in the low range, avoid "the pump", etc.

Gators,

I was very stressed at first as well. I had nice curly blond hair like Matthew McConaughey has. I was kind of identified by my hair to a certain extent. I definitely lost a distinctive feature that I had, and I was extremely self-conscience when people first saw me after I shaved my head. It took me about a year to get 100% comfortable with my new look. It isn't easy at first, but as soon as you accept it and are comfortable with your look…everyone else will be as well…including attractive women.

Ron,

I didn't believe it myself! I thought "How is this possible…How can my face improve"? How can people who are already unbelievably ridiculously good looking, look even better?

Great comments guys!

Rusty, this is a great post, I think a lot of guys do not realize when they bulk up to look big and masculine they actually gain a more feminine look because their face rounds out due to higher bodyfat percentage. A few months ago after being very, very lean in high school and mistakenly trying to become bulkier to model, I tried creatine which bloated me terribly in the face so I went off of it, but my face remained rounded appearing for awhile because I was at 10-12 percent bodyfat which is not high generally but for me it is noticeable as compared to

the end of pmy post got cut off but I was saying when I am at single digit bodyfat which is easily mantainable for me I look much sharper, and more like myself. I feel like when I bulk and my bodyfat percentage goes up my naturally lean face and high cheekbones get "obscured". I get way more stares from women when I am lean in the face than having a rounded face from bulking

Peter,

I'm not a fan of creatine at all! It creates a really "puffed up" rounded pumped look, instead of dense defined muscles. Good call on getting lean again. It makes sense to look your best.

On the other hand I don't really have enough muscle on my upper body yet to start losing fat. My face is kinda thin though but it is also soft which makes me look young. I haven't checked my body fat in awhile but I'm probably at 15-18% though that could be underestimating a bit. I'm not chubby or fat by any means but I am soft in my midsection. Do you think if I bring my body fat to the single digits my face will significantly change? What bodyfat percentage do you think that model in the Armani excahange photo has? I'm assuming it's blow 10% but how much?

admin said:

KK,

It sounds like you don't put much weight on your face…so getting leaner shouldn't make a major difference. More than anything it will just sharpen up your jawline.

shane #1,

The reason they put that weight back on, is that they train for 2-3 hours per day 6-7 days per week and their diet is moderated 100% by a trainer. They aren't learning the "skill" of losing body fat. They aren't learning realistic habits that they can implement in their normal lives.

Baz,

The guy in the picture is around 6-8% body fat in my estimation. He looks outstanding and has no reason to go any lower. He has done a great job making sure that there isn't any water under his skin for this picture. There is a reader of this blog (John D) who is a professional model with this exact build. John is around 6% year round and has this same degree of definition.

Hope that helps,

Thanks for the compliments. One thing that does happen when women get lean is that they do lose a bit of breast size. Guys really don't care about breast size if a woman is in great shape. It really is the truth. I am attracted to fit women regardless of breast size and most guys agree with me on this.

Bytheway, Lebron or Kobe?

Do cardio after lifting and don't stress out about drinking a protein shake after lifting. You will get great results and really don't need that shake.

Burning 1,000 calories in one session is an a huge amount! That is very impressive. Don't worry about adding any more. You are doing the amount of cardio a star in Hollywood would be doing if they had to get in amazing shape for a big role. You will kill those last 20 pounds of fat, no problem! I have trouble with my chest. I'd say it is one of the easiest parts of my body to develope, however, i'm not sure if it's not big enough or just right. You see when i look in the mirror in a brightly lit room it doesn't look that great,( not as defined) as in i think it could be better, but when the room is a bit dimmer it looks almost the same as that model in the photo above. (Even though the rest of my body doesn't look like his.) I mean it looks very defined. When i measured my chest it was about 88cm around, i have no idea what this looks like to other people, say if i'm at the beach. I'm currently working on my upper chest because its less developed than the middle bit,and does look a little droopy and thats not the look i'm going for. So do you think once the upper area is more developed than the entire pectoral muscles will become more defined together?

Ps- when i wear tshirts my chest does stick out, but i dont know how it would look to others if i was shirtless. And i can't ask then cause it would sound like i'm up myself.

Thanks

Baz,

Everyone looks better in the correct lighting. Your chest sounds big enough. It would be good to focus on the upper part to build a square chest and develop the mid line of your chest all the way to your collar bone, but it sounds like your chest is big enough.

I find it easier to build muscle without worrying about cardio too much, then when i get to my target i eas up on the muscle building and focus on strength and cutting down. But before this i dont know where to stop gaining muscle. I have heard to overshoot my goal ripped look by about 10 pounds before i start to cut. I know i post alot and ask alot of questions, but i just cant get enough of this terrific site. You've got a great thing going here.

Baz,

Ryan Reynolds looks great in Blade. He is in tremendous shape. Here is something funny I read in a bodybuilding forum:

————————————————————————————
Re: Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity

"I don't know who this guy is, but he is ripped! His diet is pretty good..bodyfat probably around 6-7% All in all a great physique, one Im sure 99.9% of people here wouldn't mind having (me included!)"

Re: Ryan Reynolds in Blade Trinity

"Pffft, he's a stick figure, there is no way 99.99% would want his figure, maybe you're joking.

Now I wouldn't mind having Franco's physique."
————————————————————————————

These guys don't have a clue! Anyway…Ryan Reynolds got up to 200 pounds in Blade at 6 feet tall. He got down to 4-6% body fat. Just a few months later he dropped about 15 pounds and got to 6% body fat…and that is what he maintains these days. He can naturally hold 185 pounds of muscle at 6 feet tall. Those are great proportions, since he has a medium frame.

You can do the bulk up and cut down technique. I'm not a huge fan of that method, because you won't look good in the bulking phase…but it does work. I would recommend doing this right after summer. You won't be able to do this and look good in time for summer.

Hope that helps!

Rusty

Baz said:

Yeah thanks rusty, im in Australia anyway so our summer has just ended, so if i do go for this method i have time until this december when summer starts again. I'm only worried about doing the other method because i find it hard to build muscle, therefore, i'm afraid it will take too long, or it wont work. But just in case what do you think i sould do stay looking good and not getting fat while bulking. I'm only 63kg(140pounds) and 5'10 tall.

Baz,

If I was you, I would do 5 sets of 5 reps for most exercises. Pick three exercises per body part. This is a bit more volume than I normally recommend, but it will still build "dense muscle". Continue to do cardio, but maybe not as much. That should work well. Increase cardio and decrease the volume of lifting once you get to the size you desire.

Hey, I just found your site when I was looking up the weights of different celebrities and I thought maybe you could help me out. I think I'm incredibly overweight, however my bmi puts me at a normal range, and people taller than me… like tyra banks for example I think look a lot better in terms of tone. I'm guessing it might have to do with muscle weighing more than fat since she is toned and I'm far from that, but I wonder how in general people who weigh far more than me even when they aren't toned are lower jean sizes. I'm 6ft 160 pounds currently, and I'm looking to lose about 35-40 pounds and I wonder how I should start. I want to lose so much because what concerns me the most is the weight on my face, which I didn't have when I was younger and looked way better. My diet is composed mostly of rice (it's a cultural thing) and I don't know how to cut down on the carbs without starving myself since there aren't many foods I can stand. Help a gal out please.

April 7, 2008

admin said:

Jaime,

You can still eat rice, but try to eat the majority of your rice after your cardio. The strategy would be to eat low carb leading up to your workout and the majority of your daily carbs 1-4 hours following your workout. This will make all th difference in the world.

Also…begin to run as your primary cardio…it is better for slimming the legs down than the elliptical or exercise bike.

Hi Rusty,
my bodyfat percentage has been at 7.5 – 8% (ectomorph) for a while now and my body looks ripped, but my face looks bony, like it lost its tightness, you can see my entire cheekbone under my eye and my skin is loose on the face. I'm probably exaggerating a bit but it's definitely not that attractive. Would it help if I gained a few pounds?

Max,

In your case it wouldn't hurt to gain a few pounds. Just loosen up on the diet a bit.

Ryan,

Tom Green is "skinny fat" a guy that doesn't take up much space, but his body fat is still high. If he worked out and lost some of that fat, he would have a slimmer face.

Rusty

Ryan said:

This was a great post because I was that "skinny fat" guy before. Really thin arms and legs, even torso, but my face put on all the fat. I only weighed like 135 lbs or so and I am 5'9, so it was weird how all the fat just went to the face. Since working out with your plans, i.e. HIIT, semi-warrior diet thing and so on, everything is much more even now…and I don't even weigh any less – that's the odd part, but it isn't a bad thing since I was pretty light to begin with – now I just have lower body fat and more muscle. No more puffy face!

June 7, 2008

admin said:

Ryan,

Someone who is "skinny fat" typically will gain weight at first, but this is probably the muscle they were "meant" to have in the first place. If you strength train while doing cardio and keeping your calories within reason, you body will gain a naturall amount of muscle and you will look great. Sounds like it is happening for you!

Another great motivating post Rusty.

About 8 months ago i was your typical gym junkie, spending 5 nights a week lifting the heaviest weights i could, and doing little or no cardio….and the end result was i looked like a pudgy round rissole!!

I changed my workoput routine from 5 days a week of intesive weights workouts, to basically ALL cardio, made up of swimming, running and sycling mixed with and some light low rep weights. The results were UNBELIEVABLE!!

I really notice a large difference in my face shape, especially around my jaw and chin. I droped 15kg, down to 75kg, and have had SO many comments about how much better i look!!

Thanks for your advice and fantastic post!!

Luke

June 29, 2008

admin said:

Luke,

The pudgy weight lifting guy is so common now it is shocking. The reason is that this way of training takes very little discipline. You have to be mentally tough to push yourself through a brutal HIIT session.

You are a rare breed in the gym. If you do decide to get strong, and stick to low reps you will get much stronger than the pudgy guys as well. I'm not in the gym to compete, but I do think it is funny when I lift heavier weights in better form than a guy who is 75 pounds heavier than me.

Keep up the good work…you will be leaner, more athletic and more attractive to women than 99% of the guys in the gym!

I wanted to ask you firstly how much would you estimate him to weigh (about 80kg?) and secondly how do ensure there is no water under your skin like you said?

Thanks heaps

'There are exceptions to every rule. Very few people have a thin face when they are overweight. '

Well I'm female, so 20%-24% body fat is not overweight, it's lean. But my face IMO looked better, i.e. younger when my body fat % was higher. But I'm not gaining weight for the sake of a plump face because my health is more important. On the other hand I'm not losing more fat off my face for the sake of having abs.

It was amazing looking at those pictures. 15 lbs and I looked like a different person. I did some modeling in the past, and even then at 115 the double chin was present in many angles. Which is better for weight loss in your opinion, fasting 2 seperate days per week, or the warrior diet most days?? I have about 10 lbs to lose to get back in my jeans. Your the best!

I was actually 160 lbs, 5'8, at 18 years old. I tried to lose weight because my cheeks are chubby. I lost about 35 lbs and my face looks really defined and I like the way how I looked when photographed, However, alot of people said that I looked malnourished and anorexic…so now at the age of 23, I tried to gained 15 lbs and people say I look much healthier and younger.

patrick said:

there is liposuction of the face…you would also consider facial contouring (the use of laser or lipo dissolve injection or botox to shrink the muscle)…

Sometimes having a chubby/bloated face and a slim body depends on the diet. If you you eat food high in sodium/salt, it will cause water retention in some parts of your body, including face..

I would suggest eat natural whole and healthy food (not processed like sausage, ice cream, cookies, fruit juice ect) rich in fiber and protein, and eat what is just enough for your age and activity. Exercise daily.

Just one question, if i lose about 30 pounds, would it make my face more lean or give it more thin feature. I hate how big my nose is, and i was wondering if it makes your nose appear thinner.

Love this article. Unfortunately I've got about 50lb to lose, but I'm doing it, slow and steady. I do weights (I'm female) but very few. I try and go for heavier weights/lower reps. I'm hoping it'll tone my arms. I've been told on a few occasions that I have a pretty face, but I don't think I do at all. It's REALLY chubby, puffy. Just ewww. I'm hoping that with 50lb gone I'll start to resemble a prettier version of me. Going to start HIIT soon – 20 mins, four times a week.

Can't weight for the slimmer me :)

Ridiculous! First of all Charlize Therons character was made to look overtly unattractive. Gaining weight is only half of it. Look at how her skin looks different. Jared Leto -same. Dressing poorly etc. Ever notice in Before/After photos people lose weight . They look better- why? Because they are actually smiling in their "after" pictures, dressed up and photoshopped to look their best. You can be slightly overweight and more attractive than a person who is thin but has an ugly face.
