A New Fitness Social Site That Looks Really Promising!
Hey guys, one of the readers here gave me the "heads up" on a great new social site. It is a site called FitConnect. At this point and time, there are less than 100 members and it is in "beta" mode. They are still testing things out and need more "beta" testers.

[The co-founder Troy, looks just like this guy. I didn't want to post his picture without asking him…plus Troy doesn't have a cool private jet like this guy.]
Help Us Make This a Positive Place!
I am in no way affiliated with the two co-founders (Troy Barlow and Ryan Mayberry), I just believe they have a great mission. So far the membership base reminds me of the positive and helpful readers on this site. I really thought it would be a great match. They aren't going to allow negative comments and for people to attack each other, quite the opposite…they are striving for a helpful environment.
Finally a Site That Has It Right
I was tempted to start a really good social site myself, but these guys beat me to it. They have everything in place to make this a smashing success. People can share recipes, give fitness tips, write short blog posts, etc. The whole thing is organized in a way that connects people better than typical "Myspace" and "Facebook" type sites. They are just beginning to add more features, but it is really impressive already.
Sites Such As These Make The Internet A Better Place
These guys are committed to making this a friendly place for people to share great fitness ideas and make some friends in the process. They will NOT let this turn into a "dating service" or anything of that nature. I can't stress this enough…it is actually tough to find quality sites out there…I don't recommend many sites for that reason.
The "First Mover" Advantage of Joining Now and Getting Active
They have a point system and actually rank active users. It is a complex algorithm that gets updated once a day. It is actually fun to get ranked high in a social site like this. You will meet many more people, they will read your blog posts, and most importantly you can really "shape" the way the social site is headed. If any of you ever want to have your own fitness website or health food website down the road this is great exposure for you. Get in there and get active! Social Marketing is the best way for your site to get massive exposure for free. This is how I get a decent amount of my traffic.
How to Join FitConnect
Pretty simple…just click this link FitConnect. It is free to join. Spend about 30 minutes and put up a profile and search for me. USERNAME "Rusty". Add me to your "Fitsters" (friends) list. There are only 75 members at this time…I'd love to see quite a few of you get active, acquire a bunch of points and crack the top 10 rankings!

Hulbs,
This should be fun for all of us. You guys can meet and communicate with each other better, etc. This is still my main focus, but I just wanted to recommend a really interactive site where you guys could post pictures, add your favorite recipes, favorite fitness sites, etc…
The founders seem like great guys and I've corresponded with them a bit over the past couple of days.
