A Limited Free MP3 from a Bodybuilder Friend of Mine!

I have to get this posted quickly, since this download page will only be up for a few days. Although I poke fun at bodybuilders on my site, I do have a few friends who are into bodybuilding and getting big, etc. One of these guys is my good friend Gregg Gillies. Gregg has an awesome site called TNA Fitness. He is also author of "The Skinny Guy's Guide to Building Mass Fast".

Why I Think Gregg Gillies is a Good Source of Info

Gregg is into 100% natural bodybuilding and gained a lot of muscle without the use of steroids. I put a picture up of muscle beach, because this is the type of build Gregg maintains year round. He was once a really skinny guy and worked really hard to put on a significant amount of muscle mass. I would recommend his site as a great resource for tips to gain muscle. His advice is MUCH different than the advice I give here, but we have different goals. That being said…I fully respect his point of view and think he is a great guy.

So What is This Recording All About?

This free recording is a contest between three bodybuilding guru's to see who could come up with the most "unusual" mass building tip. The recording is about 90 minutes long and is actually quite entertaining. I just listened to it…although it is about mass building, I learned some great techniques. This is true cutting edge stuff that you won't find on most bodybuilding sites. I haven't met the other two contestants, but they sound like great guys.

This is Free, But for a Good Cause

This is a free recording with nothing to sell. Gregg wanted me to make it clear that seriously, there is nothing to buy here. The reason for this call was that Jeff Anderson's (aka the "Muscle Nerd") sister was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. On Jeff's site he states "Donation is absolutely OPTIONAL and you can listen to the whole thing for FREE if you like!". My outlook is this, if you listen to it and feel like you learned something valuable you may want to help Jeff's sister out. Either way, they just want you to have this great info.

Enjoy the free info! Also…anyone interested in adding mass should hop on over to Gregg's site, TNA Fitness. Just make sure you come back here, before you get too big :)

I'm not interested in the tips because I don't have the time right now, but I'm going to donate anyway. It won't be much, but, every bit helps, right? Thanks for letting me know. :)

Wow. Thanks Jon. You know, every time I have a bad day something happens to restore my faith in people. People from all over the world have donated money to Jeff for his sister. Rusty was kind enough to post this and he doesn't know Jeff from Adam. Not only did he make a donation, he listened to tips from bodybuilders!

If you've been reading Rusty's blog for any length of time, you know what a sacrifice that is! :-)

Jon,

That is very cool for sure. I thought it was a nice way for this gentleman to help his sister. My mom died of breast cancer when I was 12, so I have a bit of a soft spot for this. This young woman with cancer has two small children.

Gregg,

I had no problem with parting with the cash, but listening to bodybuilding advice…that WAS a sacrifice! Obviously I'm joking…great stuff Gregg…I certainly learned a few things. You guys are smart "meatheads" :) Who would have known it was possible?

Note: These guys aren't the type of guys I typically make fun of on this site. They don't all wear skull caps and throw their dumbbells after every set. I'm almost 100% positive that Gregg doesn't own a "Lift Big or Go Home!" tank top, or wear those Everlast bodybuilding clown pants with a fanny pack (aka the bodybuilding uniform).

rusty I love the site I have like a thick body type i was wondering I am 6 0 feet tall and I weigh 173.0(weighed in this mourning) I have fairly low body fat around 4-5%. I was wondering with my height what would be a good weight range to get to 165 or 170 or stay where i am at whats your take on the weighI should aim for?

Thanks for making this blog!….are you writing any books?

Tim,

If you are naturally a thicker guy, that is great. I wouldn't change a thing. You are low body fat and well within the range of normal muscle mass. I have a friend at almost those exact stats and he looks great. I have a thin bone structure and that is why I'm lighter. If I was bigger boned, I would weigh more while still maintaining a very similar look. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the compliments.

Rusty

PS: I plan on first releasing a free downloadable short report, then work may way up to full blown e-books. When I do charge a price for something I want to over-deliver big time. That is why I haven't rushed to get anything published yet.

Rusty, sorry about your mom. I didn't know that and I can't even imagine it.

LOL! I knew it would be a big sacrifice. That's why I didn't ask you to take the time to listen. ;-) By the way, the guy snoring at Jeff's advice? That was me! We tried to keep it entertaining for you. Oh man! I STILL see people wearing those clown pants? What are they thinking??

Rusty, I had someone mentionto me in order to help my weight loss I should take some thermogenics like Lipo6 or Hydroxycut. What are your thoughts on such "weight loss pills"?

admin said:

Gregg,

Yeah…breast cancer has claimed a lot of lives unfortunately. The lesson I have learned is try and live every day to the fullest and always strive towards a goal.

There are still guys who wear those clown pants. What is funny is that they almost always wear a fanny pack with these as well. Two bad looks in one!

AfDerrick,

I'm not totally against the short term use of thermogenics. I typically would only recommend them to lose those last few pounds of body fat to get really defined. You don't need them in the beginning of your leaning down plan. Save them as an additional tool to get extra lean.

Hope that helps!

Hey guys,

I'm usually not interested in podcasts or most radio stuff at all. I think it's quite tiresome to listen to. Anyway, I might give this one a listen in the near future when i'm a bit closer to my goal :) For now, i've donated some bucks for Jeff's sister, because it's just so sad to see someone with cancer slowly slipping away from you :(

I wish both the best of luck, and I hope that she will be able to recover. How is the prognosis if I may ask?

Remon,

That is really cool of you to help out. I will post an update as soon as I find out how she is doing.

You're a good man!
