Info About the New 2008 James Bond Movie…"Bond 22".

I am a HUGE James Bond fan. I think James Bond personifies what women find sexy in a man…because of this, he is somewhat of a role model. I think women like James Bond because he is attractive, can look great in clothes, is a bit of a mystery, and is witty. He also has a great "look" as far as physiques go. He has the lean "Special Operations" build, not an overly muscular look. This movie is still a ways away, but I wanted to do a bit of research to give out early info.

Rumor Has it that Mayrin Villanueva is the New Bond Girl

What I like About Bond Girls

Since I have that delicious photo of Mayrin Villanueva up, I might as well talk about Bond Girls. I like the women they chose to play Bond Girls, because they normally do a great job picking women who are "naturally beautiful"…not women that necessarily look like Playboy Bunnies. I have nothing against Playboy Bunnies, but typically those women are more Barbie Doll looking. The women in James Bond films are typically more exotic and don't have fake breasts, etc. The other thing that is nice about women who play lead roles in Bond movies is that they seem to chose strong women (who just happen to be stunning).

What is the Name of The 22nd Bond Film?

"Bond 22" is just making reference to the fact that this is the 22nd James Bond film. Early rumors say that they are thinking of naming the movie "Risico". This is a title by Ian Fleming published in the collection of "For Your Eyes Only". I will update the name once they officially announce it.

Daniel Craig James Bond 22

According to GQ, Daniel Craig is Choosing a Leaner Look

He bulked up a bit for Casino Royale, but this time he is choosing a lean and toned look. Although he was muscular in Casino Royale, it suited him well. I am sure he will looked even better if he slims down a bit. This seems to be a growing trend in Hollywood. Actors and Actresses are choosing a lean look, rather than bulking up. Obviously James Bond would look retarded if he had a huge muscular build.

Filming Starts December 2007

So it looks like the new Bond Film starts out taking place in Lake Garda, Italy. If you saw Casino Royale, this is the place where the movie ended. It is an amazingly beautiful place. In fact, if you haven't seen Casino Royale…you should rent it for the amazing scenery alone! The first scene of the newest Bond movie takes place at Lake Garda, Italy…just two minutes after Casion Royale ends.

I'll Update This Post As New Info Comes Out

Sorry…I know this isn't a fitness article, but James Bond movies motivate me to workout (the Bond Girls alone boost testosterone levels). I think most big goals are accomplished under strong motivation. I like to vacation and Bond movies give me previews of where I would like to travel. When I go on vacation, I like to be in top shape. I guess I'm just a huge fan of the movies, so I wanted to put info about the movie on my site. Do you guys enjoy Bond movies? Who do you think is the best Bond?

Note: I actually think Daniel Craig is the best Bond. I am probably in the minority, but he seems like a bad-ass.

Yeah, Casino Royale is the one I like best too. Haven't watched all of the other ones though.

It is great when you get motivated to work out. A good film to motivate yourself is also The Hurricane with Denzel Washington.

There are even movies with girls that can motivate me to work out harder.

Fine examples are Terminator 2 where Linda Hamilton does chin ups on her bed (which she put upright) as well as the crazy toned arms of Angela Basset in Strange Days.

I love movies… lol

I have a great friend who was also a martial artist with me and fought in the highest weight classes, he now regrets gaining so much mass. Pavel says you can have big muscles or live a long life, this friend of mine was about 270lbs, at a hight of 5 foot 7 and had visible abs, not shredded but definitley decient definition for his size. Amazing strenght and flexibility as well. But now he is in his late 20's early 30's and regrets getting that big, he complains regularly of joint pain and the likes. He trains people to get toned and is completley against gaining excessive mass as he looks back on the havoc and trauma it caused his body. I think having a lot of muscle mass is good if you like eating well and drinking. Even with a measley 155 lbs of lean mass a sedentary man in his 20's can get away with eating 2000 calories a day and still drop weight, which is a lot if you only eat 1 or 2 times a day. Plus 5 or 10 lbs of muscle doesn't make one look that bulky, but beyond the 5 or 10lbs nature intended you to have could be quite excessive. Eating for excessive levels of mass can then become a chore rather than a pleasure.

There are many charts out there that tell based on wrist size how much muscle your frame can carry.

I dunno Rusty. I'm a Connery fan. I will agree that Craig is bad-ass but Connery was the standard.

Connery was spectacular. I didn't like Timothy Dalton, but the rest weren't too bad. Daniel Craig is pretty darn good…definitely up there with Connery in my opinion.

Rusty, YOU should be the next James Bond! W00T!!

Not a big fan of Bond, but I do like Connery the best, and Craig second best. After that, there is no other Bond.

I agree, the women are always more than a match for 007, and I hope they keep it that way. ; )

Candy, You are in luck because there are so many great women to choose from. But let me go at a different angle; instead of one of the dozen of sexy sirens that have been we have been so blessed by, go as Rosa Klebb, the evil henchwoman in From Russia With Love. She appears in a USSR soldier uniform early in the movie and then as a hotel maid at the end. She wears a shoe with a poisen dart at the end of it with which she attempts to kill Bond. You would be a hit of the party if you could pull either of these looks off. Ask a friend to borrow a copy of the movie.

Seen the latest trailer yet?
He (Daniel Craig) looks pretty beefy but good still.
I read that his workouts were more functional this time around including some gymnastics. Well necessary if he really did a lot of stuntwork as claimed, and I guess it has to be true if he's already lost a tooth and part of a finger.

Even if you're motivated enough to actually get out the door when it's hot out, you might not be doing your body any favors by treating a scorcher like any other day. Try drinking a slushie (a great excuse if we've ever heard one), avoid falling for hydration myths, and stay in shape despite the heat.
