Like many people, I am a big-time movie fan. I appreciate great acting and Leonardo DiCaprio is quite possibly my favorite actor. My two favorite movies of his are "The Beach" and "Catch Me If You Can" (I own both of those movies). "Blood Diamond" is also right up there. Anyway, Leonardo DiCaprio's personal trainer for "The Beach" tracked me down and asked if I wanted to do a Q&A session. What is cool about his story is that he was flown to Thailand and only had a little over 2 weeks to whip everyone into to top shape. Leo needed to drop 17 pounds in roughly two weeks. Cornel explains how he accomplished this feat, along with other cool things about his experience, in this interview.

[I like it when actors like DiCaprio do volunteer work for causes they believe in. One of his causes is to save polar bears from extinction. I like it when people use their fame and celebrity status to help out. If it improves something, even just a little, it is worth it in my opinion.]

Ryan Kwanten's Workout – Jason Stackhouse from "True Blood"

Ryan Kwanten is an example of a guy who stays extremely fit without going anywhere near a gym. He also keeps a normal amount of muscle mass for his frame, while keeping his body fat low. The result is a physique that looks great in nice clothes as well as on the beach. True Blood is an extremely entertaining show by the way, me and my girlfriend are hooked. So let's talk more about Ryan Kwanten's workout and how he stays so lean.

[The cool thing about being slim and muscular is that you can look great in stylish clothing. You certainly don't have to be as slim as Ryan, but there really isn't a big need to go out of your way to add a bunch of muscle. Being the normal size for your frame with exceptional conditioning, will create a better look than endlessly pursuing muscle mass.]

Yvonne Craig is my idea of a woman who stayed in great shape her entire career without losing her femininity. In fact, I think women had it right in the 60's. For the most part they remained slim while keeping their soft curves. When men get too big and ripped it looks "forced". The same goes for women. When women overdo their workouts and do too much volume of lifting they can put on too much muscle. I think light muscle tone while being slim is the ideal route. I know that I risk upsetting some people by posting my opinion here, but I guarantee you that I'm not in the minority here.

Tarzan VS Conan – A Competition of the Ages!

What if Tarzan met up with Conan and a fight broke out? Maybe Conan made a move on Jane or Tarzan did his famous yell at 5:30AM and Conan was nursing a bad hangover. Whatever the case, these two Alpha males would certainly clash if they ran across each other. Although Conan would probably win in a head to head fight, I think Tarzan would school Conan in most athletic events. It is time to Geek Out!

I am an 80's kid, so obviously I'm a fan of Robert Downey Jr. If you grew up in the 80's you couldn't help, but like the guy. He played cocky and edgy roles in teen movies for the greater part of a decade. Unfortunately drugs got the best of him for a while, but now he is kicking butt again. His performance as Tony Stark in "Iron Man" is simply brilliant!

[Robert Downey Jr makes this movie. He is super cocky and cool, NOT modest like other super heroes. I was blown away by how clever this movie was put together. You guys have to see this!]

Are you guys familiar with the TV show The Biggest Loser? The idea is that they take two teams of overweight people and have a weight loss contest. The members of each team weigh in at the beginning of the week and weigh in at the end of the week. The team that has lost the most total weight at the end of the week are declared the winners. The Biggest Loser tv show is entertaining, but is very unrealistic for people with a life. Let me explain…
