Six Pack Abs

The plank is one of my favorite ab exercises, because it is meant to strengthen the muscles that protect the spine. As someone who experienced a spinal injury 20+ years ago, the plank has been a life saver. Here’s the best plank video I’ve ever seen online.

Have you ever had a “hint” of a six pack abs, but not as good as you see in the magazines? Are your muscles “kind of” toned, but you want better muscle tone?

I may know your problem and I have a solution for you. This goes against what is currently being taught in many gyms…and that is why I’m drawn to it…plus it works extremely well!

Finally a great video demonstration of the best way to get six pack abs! In this video Craig Ballantyne, author of Turbulence Training, demonstrates exercises known as “planks”. He explains why doing crunches is a waste of time.

I often get asked what the best abdominal exercise is to get six pack abs. Here is my answer every time…

There isn’t an abdominal exercise that can be considered the best!

Having a ripped midsection is much more a result of having a low body fat level…not about working your abs with a particular lift.

What kills me is that I see personal trainers taking their clients through all sorts of crunching exercises to “really hit their midsection”.

There is something about a body that gets fit through sports that is more attractive than gym built bodies. The nice thing about sports is that the body gets built up in a natural way. A common thing I see with “gym rats” is that they have bulky muscle that actually makes them less athletic.
